Self-Powered welfare units can be manufactured in several variants from standard to full ECO, the main differences are the size of the generator and the overall fuel usage. Some of the options are explained below;
Standard welfare units are supplied in various sizes and include a generator to power the unit, toilet and canteen facilities (complete with clean water and effluent storage), drying room facilities and are compliant with the current CDM 2015 regulations.
Eco welfare units are similar to the above but have increased insulation materials to reduce power usage, improve electrics to reduce power usage and some also have 12V systems that then require a much smaller generator to supply the entire cabin.
There are several ECO versions to suit your requirements from simple systems that run on demand to full ECO units that store power in the batteries, use a blown air heating system and will rest in sleep mode when not in use. All of the ECO features are designed to reduce overall fuel usage, reduce noise and also the environmental impact.
