Stackright’s program of  improvements continued throughout October with further upgrades to welfare facilities and workshop areas.

Having completed a full refurbishment of the main canteen the previous month, October saw a huge overhaul of the main WC block and workshop staff entrance area.

In the factory, progress continued on creating new storage racks for the ever increasing amounts of materials and equipment, as well as a large scale clean up and reorganising of the fabrication work areas with the addition of heavy duty partitions.

In addition to these improvements there is the news that ‘Project Blackpool’ has reached the testing stage.

The project involves replacing the current factory high bay lighting with brand new highly efficient led lights. A test rig has been developed using a system of timers and sensors to ensure lighting is only used when needed and energy is never wasted, the testing rig was successful in simulating the logic (in both software and hardware) required to control the lighting over different periods, and plans are being made to get the installation underway.
